My First WVO Filtering System

My twin barrel WVO filtering system (still in progress)DSC04116

No plumbing experience ever before! Immersion heater still to be wiredDSC04117

First drum where all dirty, thick, ugly looking oil goes in with my best initial filter – old curtains, bed sheets whatever i can get my hands on. 3 degree outside today and oil is going real slow!! DSC04118

2nd drum for storage of oil to be filtered properly in next stage DSC04119

Bottom drain tap for water and all the sunken crap to come out DSC04120

Valves to switch oil source between 2 drums and the old central pump, may upgrade to a TAM105 in near futureDSC04121

Valves to switch where oil goes – storage/inline filters DSC04122

another drain tap at 2nd drum bottom for water to come out if there is any when oil settled after heated up DSC04123

to be updated when the setup is completed…………… soon!!

Finally all piping is done, only left to do now is:

  1. wire the immersion heating in barrel 2
  2. insulation on barrel 2
  3. make sure the pump is working hope its not too late grrr…!!

Barrel 1 (green one) is filled to top already, leaving it to settle for a while before transfer to barrel 2, more oil to collect tonight but weather is not helping at all. bucket on the right is for all the crap and water to drop out before barrel 2.18012010013
